Just because we can do something doesn’t mean we should.
That is an expression I often quote in reference to various things people are doing and creating. When I hear about new AI capabilities and developments, it comes to mind.
Artificial Intelligence is developing at breakneck speed. While many technological advances benefit humanity, there are plenty of others that may have devastating outcomes.
Will AI eventually take over the world?
How long until artificial intelligence makes humans redundant? That’s a chilling prospect to ponder. Robots are already taking jobs.
Even more horrifying, though, is the very real possibility that artificial intelligence will fully infiltrate every aspect of our lives and eventually take control of the world.
The thought of losing what freedom we have left to robot overlords is terrifying, especially considering that AI has no sense of humor and is willing to kill over a joke and that robots already can hate without human input.
Not only can AI do many things faster and better than humans can, but it also can monitor us, read our minds and predict our choices.
Will humans serve robot overlords someday?
A new video from Truthstream Media poses a serious question we all should be considering:
Do People Realize They Are Creating Their Own Overlords?
“…sophisticated algorithms are being created to ensure the AI will know more about a person than they probably know about themselves, let alone what any spouse or significant other ever could.
Society is being programmed to not just trust but irrevocably merge their lives with these machines.
This will change us.” (source)
This is part two of a set of reports on where exactly these artificially intelligent digital assistants are taking society in the very near future.

What do you think?
Do you think AI will eventually take over? Will humanity eventually serve robot overlords? Do you think this sort of thing can be prevented, or are we doomed? Please share your thoughts in the comments.

@D Taggart, Your opening line is what my wife calls the Jurassic Park reference,
Dr. Ian Malcolm (acted by Jeff Goldblum): “Yeah, yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn’t stop to think if they should. ”
But when it comes to AI, companies and governments are not thinking about if they could or not, but of the profits realized for being the first or the technological and tactical advantage they gain. The do not see Pandora’s box that they are opening.
Their arrogance is believing they will be able to control it.
It’s not just the work force: Considering robot sex dolls are one of the hottest selling items out there and the progression that has been made on them I’d have to say yes we are in trouble. If it bothers your morality or religion don’t look it up because it will be very graphic. Just understand that they can be made to order and even talk. They don’t talk back and they don’t have headaches so many are finding it more desirable. VR porn is already a thing and growing.
Speaking of religion: Church is done video now so why do I even have a pastor and why am I sitting in the auditorium just to leave without even speaking to anyone? I can just watch it on tv or a robot can translate the bible to me. I was told I could get my interaction with the small group but if my girlfriend/wife is AI all I need is a mechanic and a programmer. Yeah I said wife cause if 2 women or 2 men or 2 unknown it’s that change genders daily can marry then why not?
As AI progresses so will the lack of true relationships. Social Media and the internet has destroyed the social aspect of starting relationships for many. Stoplights have become FB update zones where one used to be able to flirt and maybe even start a conversation on the cruise strip on Friday night. I’m not even sure how you would accomplish that with a driverless car anyway. I wanna talk but the robots on a mission lol.
You go to the museum, mall or wherever public and no one is actually looking at one another or speaking because they are buried in their phones. Now all dating is done on apps but why even bother if you can just go home and fulfill your needs? I’m guessing the housework will be done too. The drone dropped off my groceries so no need to go to the store so one more chore down and one less social interaction.
Yup
Now I’m depressed thinking bout my grandkids and how hard I’m gonna have to work to keep them okay
I know a guy who claims making a home cooked meal from scratch is too time and labor intensive. It takes away from his “leisure” time (aka, surfing the internet). And many Americans feel that way too. Their time on social media, staring at their phone, is worth more then spending time with their family.
I have a friend who meets guys via Facebook. And they have been disasters.
So when I read more and more about AI, the changes it will make on our lives, it will be sold as an achievement, while enslaving people. And your average American will embrace it if it gives the illusion of “convenience.”
How about this uber-disgusting application?

Now couple that story with other articles about how pedophiles use the foster care system as an ongoing source of sex trafficking victims. Here’s one ghastly example:

Hate to telll you this ai has been running and taking over for over 10 years now. Too late genie out of the bottle. We moved from owners and rulers to favorite pet.
Unfortunately for the masses, there is a spiritual component to this Frankenstein / golem “free” labor contraption. It is the great counterfeit convenience. But for whom? Those AI jobs are totally programmed by human beings to exhibit prejudice and discrimination. That didn’t just spontaneously evolve. Its a controlling venture. Who thinks like this? The science may fascinate us, but limiting it to Star Wars heroic droids is not possible. We’ve been shown all this in advance.
Very creepy and dangerous. HAL merely threatens us from the celluloid production of 2001. But this AI stuff should give us more than pause because it is programming our future and most likely our responses.
As preppers, we may have a lot of stuff that might help us. But our biggest prep should be our minds and our souls or these kinds of things will eventually control those and our destinies. The real battle is for our minds. Please, please, please … think about it.
With AI there exists great potential but also the dangerous possibility and risk that technology could create an environment where mankind is rendered redundant. This has resulted in another reshuffling in the list of the “Worlds 10 Worst Problems.” Generally, we see little movement in the list as counted down from least to most crucial.
The list of the “Worlds 10 Worst Problems” was last updated to reflect the growing drumbeats of war and the advancement of WMDs. Today’s change has to do with the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) and robots being introduced into society. More on this subject in the article below.
