The global financial system is almost at the point of imploding with more and more countries watching their economy nose dive, the downward spiral of depression casting a shadow over hundreds of millions of lives across the world.
Emerging diseases and mutations of common viruses threaten our existence on a daily basis.
The Sun is producing flares that could knock us back to the stone age by wiping out the electrical grid. It’s just good fortune that the angles have been wrong so far.
The weather across the globe is affecting food supplies, flooding, drought and freezing weather limiting the amount that can be grown or raised on the land we depend on for our survival.
With all the problems that we already face it seems ironic that something that started such a short time ago could well be the one that signifies the end of the world as we know it.
The spectre of war seems to be looming ever closer.
June 28th 2014 marks one hundred years since the start of World War l. It was caused by the assassination in Sarajevo,of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophia who were Austro-Hungarian. War was declared against Serbia and the so called ‘War to End All Wars’ began.
Of course any war fought now would be very, very different to the war that was fought in 1914. the advent of modern weaponry allows ‘remote control killing’ at the flick of a switch. Of course everyone is considering the possibility of a major confrontation going nuclear, but mutually assured destruction benefits no one, least of all the major players in this very dangerous game.
The a possibility of war is bound to galvanise the thoughts of those who usually would not consider prepping. If the international situation degrades much further it’s likely than canned foods and dried items such as potato flakes and dried milk will start vanishing from the shelves somewhat faster than usual.
Check your preps, see where the holes are and take action accordingly. As we all know the situation is very fluid, tomorrow all may be well, and everyone is happy again…or tomorrow we may wake up to find a young man in a far away land pulled the trigger of his weapon and as a result we are heading into World War lll.
It’s time to take stock and stock up, whilst we still can.
Take Care

Thanx for the reminder Daisy….back to the bulk food store today for some more powdered milk! So happy to have a great ‘pantry+primer’ cookbook to use as reference…Thanx!
Hope all is well with you and yours, take care, S.
Amen Daisy. Not to beat a dead horse, I might add that unless you can feed the proverbial unprepared, hungry and violent ‘Golden Hoard’ living within a tank of gas from you, I urge folks to move to a ‘retreat area’. Joel Skousen and James Wesley Rawles have excellent recommendations on selecting a ‘retreat area’ to protect your love ones.
“…see where the holes are…”
Better recheck your galoshes and your bumbershoot, Burt.
Sounds like the UK is getting “swamped” lately.
Hi there
Regarding the cause(s) of WWI, have you ever watched Robert Newman’s highly entertaining ‘History of Oil’? It’s here:
