The Spin: “Helping” Americans Interpret the News One Lie at a Time

Survival Saturday is a round-up of the week’s news and resources for folks who are interested in being prepared.

This Week in the News

This week, Survival Saturday discusses the Official Spin, which “helps” Americans interpret the issues in the most beneficial way possible for those with control of the microphone.  The unsettling revelations that have been emerging about the corruption in our government have people wondering what to believe. So, what better way to inform them of what to think than to scare them, distract them, and warn them they’re going to be lied to in the future by the one organization who is the most likely to tell the truth?

Do this often enough, and the truth doesn’t matter. Perception becomes reality.

The crazier things get during this election, the more risk there is for post-election craziness.Let’s face it.

Some people will be incredibly unhappy, regardless of who is announced to be the winner. And by incredibly unhappy, I mean that it’s entirely likely that havoc will be wrought. You need to get prepared to bug in at your homes should violence, rioting, and protests break out post-election. Make sure you have emergency food on hand so that you can stay safely home and away from any chaos. As well, here’s a quick guide with lots of links to help you get started if you’re new at this and a checklist to make sure you have everything if you’ve been prepping for a while.

While we’ve been watching the election, NATO and Russia have been butting heads.

Here’s what’s been going on in the background while our attention has been diverted by the election. These reports are from around the world, and they all tell an alarmingly similar story, NATO and Russia appear to be on a collision course.

• NATO is building its forces near the Russian border. You can read articles from around the world here, here, here, and here.
• Russia is moving cruise missile armed submarines into its battlegroup, which passed through the English Channel on its way to Syria last week. You can read reports about the subs here, here and here.
• Since August, the Ukraine has been moving its armed forces closer to the Russian border. Read more here.
• Russia has vowed to respond tit for tat over NATO’s build-up in Eastern Europe.
• The British Royal Air Force (RAF) is deploying Typhoon aircraft to Romania for the first time and armored support to Estonia. France and Denmark have also pledged more troops to both areas.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that these events half a world away can’t affect you. They can and they will if this lunacy doesn’t stop

Even the Russian public is becoming concerned. A poll showed that almost half the respondents feared that the current situation in Syria is going to lead to a global conflict.

When Russia is admitting that its citizens are concerned, we have a major problem. Here’s an alarming “fictional” version of how this might all go down by someone who spent years in military intelligence.

Be sure to note that everything in our own media about Russia is bad: Russia is hacking the election, Russia cyber attacked us, Russia sent the documents to Wikileaks. We’re being directed straight to the belief that Russia is out to get us so that when war breaks out, our officials can claim, “Russia did it.” Spin.

We’re being set up for a potential false flag terror event next week.

I hate it when people yell “False Flag!” over every terror event that happens in the United States, but sometimes it seems so very blatant that I find myself yelling the same thing.

You’ve probably seen the warnings that “Al Qaeda is going to git us” on Monday. New York, Texas and Virginia are potential targets, according to a source in the US Intelligence Department. CBS warns:

Sources told CBS News senior investigative producer Pat Milton that U.S. intelligence has alerted joint terrorism task forces that al Qaeda could be planning attacks in three states for Monday.

It is believed New York, Texas and Virginia are all possible targets, though no specific locations are mentioned. A U.S. law enforcement source briefed on the threat information told CBS News’ Milton that the threat is possibly legitimate and concerning. The source said the threat may be aspirational and hence the lack of specificity. The source said there has been pressure on al Qaeda and its affiliates AQAP and AQIS (al Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent) to regain relevance with its mission.

U.S. authorities are taking the threat seriously, though the sources stress the intelligence is still being assessed and its credibility hasn’t been confirmed. Counterterrorism officials were alerted to the threat out of abundance of caution.

But Al Qaeda isn’t the only threat being bandied. ISIS is also apparently making plans to “slaughter” Americans on election day. Zero Hedge reports:

…on Saturday the Islamic State called for the “slaughter” of U.S. voters on Election Day and demanded that Muslims not participate in the democratic process because “there is no difference between the Republican and Democratic parties in their “policies against Islam and Muslims.”

I didn’t realize that they generally let us know, “Hey, guys? I know you’re busy on Monday and Tuesday, but we’ll probably drop in and attack, ‘mmkay?”

More spin.

The fact that an event might be a false flag doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be careful and alert, however. It just means that I question in advance the perpetrator of any attacks that take place on Monday and Tuesday. The important thing to remember in the event of a terror attack is that it doesn’t actually matter who is responsible. If you find yourself caught in the middle, your only mission is to protect your family and to survive. We’re also being set up to disbelieve the next Wikileak, so it must be a doozy.

In probably the biggest spin of the week, Jennifer Palmieri, the communications director for the Clinton campaign, is trying to do some damage control in advance. She  tweeted

Considering that in the 11 years since Wikileaks has been leaking, they have a 100% perfect record of integrity, I’d be willing to lay money on the fact that the new leaks will be just as legitimate as the hundreds of thousands of other documents they have exposed.

Many sordid rumors are floating around. There’s the one about Clinton campaign staff taking part unsettling, bloody occult rituals, but HuffPo says that it’s all just a “hilarious mistake.” Then there’s the one about trafficking children as sex slaves which Buzzfeed says is completely false. Don’t forget about the possibility that some of the folks in Clintonland are indulging in pedophilia, either. (See below.) I have a feeling that whatever Assange and company are about to reveal will blow our everloving minds. And also, let me add how utterly repulsive I find it that these media outlets are rushing to their defense regarding such things.

Incidentally, the FBI, CIA, and NYPD apparently have video evidence of Bill Clinton and six other government officials engaging in sex with minors.  Here’s a horrifying quote:

Until this month, Wikileaks and Anonymous have worked together in building an efficient, detailed, comprehensive set of documents that would be responsible for the incarceration of Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, and 21 individuals ranging from the DNC, FBI, CIA, and Clinton foundation. Due to the nature of these leaks, we all worked together as efficiently as possible to ensure two objectives:

The new leaks being released this week will provide documents in the form of emails, pictures, and videos. Within these will be evidence of Bill Clinton, as we as at least 6 other Government officials, taking part in sexual acts with minors.As well as evidence of Human trafficking that also include minors. 

We believe these pictures and videos were taken for the purpose of political manipulation. In order to make sure all participants followed through on a previously agreed agenda.

These documents were given to us by an American Government official when he had come to learn that this crime had been covered by Hillary and her staff through methods including bribery and blackmail. He also told us that due to the restricted access to these documents, they would soon know he was the one who released them to us.

We tried to make arrangements for him to exit the country safely, but he was killed before those arrangements could be carried out.
