The Daily Sheeple
Well, it’s that merry time of the year once again.
Yes, Christmas…the time when families come together to celebrate the holidays and our Congress renews the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) with that oh-so-necessary indefinite detention clause that says American citizens can be detained, yes indefinitely, without charge or trial upon suspicion of terrorism. If you and your family happen to live in the United Corporations of America and your travels involve an airplane ride, well then you’re likely to get felt up by the upstanding folks over at the Transportation Security Administration…for your safety, of course.
And remember kids: it doesn’t matter if the TSA has failed to catch a single terrorist ever, they will still strip search your 85-year-old grandmother and treat her like she’s got C-4 strapped to that colostomy bag when they’re humiliatingly and painfully ripping it out of her in front of her fellow Americans at the Nazi checkpoints our nation’s airports have become.
Merry Christmas.

We are the baby boomers that many millenials blame for all of their ills. Our nephew literally told us that due to my husband still working, he could not get a good job. Knowing the background of this ill informed person, I should not have expected less. Due to NAFTA, hubs lost his job in his field of expertise. We still had young children at home, never got into debt and have adult kids who have done well. Hubs is now on what he considers a dead end job. Everyone there is around his age, and the employees are very concerned that their job, that requires overtime when they mess up and requires long days standing will go under due to poor management.
We have have had many many thrifty Christmases over the years. One “trick” I used, was to purchase one “main gift” for each child. Then hubs and I would go to a store that had a large wall filled with inexpensive toys. We purchased the “shoot-um ups” that shoot puff balls and such. It became a Christmas standard for quite some time. And here is the kicker: ” They never noticed!” Today they are all adults.and have fond memories of those Christmases.
Have a great Holiday!
