How do you stop a mass shooting before it starts? Here’s an idea:
How about if FBI agents actually investigate when threat after threat is called into your tipline?
I’ve written previously about numerous warning signs about Nikolas Cruz were ignored before he shot up Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School on Valentine’s Day. The FBI was well aware of Cruz and his potential to become violent before the horrific event in which 17 people lost their lives ever occurred.
But, hey, let’s blame the NRA, right?
The first report about Cruz’s potential to become a school shooter came last September, a couple of months before his mother died of the flu.
The worst thing of all, though, is that the FBI received more than one credible tip about Nikolas Cruz’s potential to be a school shooter.
The first one was in September when he made the following statement on Ben Bennight’s YouTube channel.
“Im [sic] going to be a professional school shooter.”
He signed it with his real name.
Bennight tried to email the FBI’s tip line and when his email bounced, he called the local field office. He reported the comment and two FBI agents took his statement. The FBI said:
“In September 2017, the FBI received information about a comment made on a YouTube channel. The comment said, ‘I’m going to be a professional school shooter.’ No other information was included in the comment which would indicate a particular time, location, or the true identity of the person who posted the comment,” said a statement released by Jackson, Miss., FBI field office spokesman Brett Car. “The FBI conducted database reviews and other checks, but was unable to further identify the person who posted the comment.” (source)
Bennight did everything he could to help the FBI. (Here’s the video he posted about it.)
Here’s the comment that Cruz had left on Bennight’s YouTube channel.
While the FBI questioned Bennight, they never contacted Google, who owns YouTube and could have given them the IP address to assist them in finding the commenter (who used his own name).
And it gets worse.
There was another warning that was completely ignored by the FBI.
On January 5th, a month before the shooting, an extremely credible threat was phoned into the FBI’s tipline. You can see the transcript below, and I’ve highlighted some particularly chilling segments.
You can download the FBI transcript HERE. (I always like to save things like this to my own server, since they have a way of vanishing.)
So, what happened after this alarming phone call?
Nothing.
And the FBI admitted it in an official statement
On January 5, 2018, a person close to Nikolas Cruz contacted the FBI’s Public Access Line (PAL) tipline to report concerns about him. The caller provided information about Cruz’s gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting.
Under established protocols, the information provided by the caller should have been assessed as a potential threat to life. The information then should have been forwarded to the FBI Miami Field Office, where appropriate investigative steps would have been taken.
We have determined that these protocols were not followed for the information received by the PAL on January 5. The information was not provided to the Miami Field Office, and no further investigation was conducted at that time. (source)
Wow, I sure am glad we have the FBI to “protect” us.
These epic failures could have stopped 17 murders and infinite trauma had the FBI just done their jobs.
And I’m not through. Tomorrow, I’ll crucify the Coward County Sheriff and his deputies who did nothing while people were being murdered by an untrained 19-year-old.
You go git em Daisy. The NRA is NOT the problem but they have become a major scapegoat for those who want to disarm the American citizens.
What is the deal with the sheriffs office down there? Why did they do nothing?
Looking forward to reading what you uncover on that.
I personally think this has that azzhat George Soros written all over it.
I am no longer active duty military. I was law enforcement for a year. That being said, I would not be able to just stand outside while innocent children are being slaughtered. Yes, I might be killed. However, this is (in my opinion) COWARDICE. I do not usually wish ill on others, but it would be fitting if those four police officers hear those unanswered cries for help, EVERY TIME they close their eyes to go to sleep.
Between the FBI and the Broward County Sheriff’s Department, it kind of makes you wonder if they WANT these things to happen. When do so many coincidences become something else? You might also consider that a lot of these people who commit these atrocities are government trained. (military etc)
We know that Israel is a Hillary puppet … what should we expect out of him? …. Loyalty to his oath …. nahhhh, loyalty to the people of Broward …. nahhhh, self serving BS …. yeahhh
I think the new definition of FBI is Fumbling Bumbling Idiots.
.
I know people who work for the FBI, and what they tell me is scary.
We don’t have a “gun” problem in this country, we have a morality problem … this sh*t never happened in the 50’s and 60’s when I went to school, often with a shotgun in my car to go hunting after school. These candy ass kids of today think the only solution to their imagined hurts is violence … well, that shows that the parents are incompetent, and the school officials are incompetent, and their community is incompetent. When you throw God out of the schools, he listens and stays away…. what the hell do you expect when a low life, mentally deficient, drug taking scumbag like cruz acts out?
Unfortunately, contrary to what is seen on TV, this is not a episode of CSI/NCIS or whatever else it is they are trying to pander as entertainment nowadays.
This is real life.
People get complacent, lazy, do the bare minimum, or do in fact make mistakes.
But this is up there with gross negligence.
We as a society need to stop pointing fingers or blaming an inanimate object and take responsibility for everything from our professional work ethic, to our own personal security.
I agree completely, 1stMarineJarHead.
Hey Daisy! Nice to see your work. I am THAT NetRanger from Slavo’s site. Hope things are going well for you. Good article. I wonder if there is ever going to be a way to keep these LE agencies to own up to the fact that they’re nothing but slackers. Oh, yeah, they talk a big game when they are in front of congressmen and senators but when the cams are off, they’re playing solitaire or who knows what else. I just wonder if they know how much of a tool they are for the globalist establishment to wage the war on gun owners. I hate to see people on the losing side of history, but, oh, well, they were warned.
