If you’re paying attention, you’ve noticed that the newsfeeds are full of horror stories about Ebola. Right now, most of the concern is focused in the farthest corner of the earth, in a handful of small countries that seem far less civilized than ours. However, if the warnings filtering out of the CDC and the WHO are any indication, Ebola will be coming to our shores. and it could potentially be the worst pandemic the United States has ever faced.

Since the medical community appears to be stymied by the outbreak, it’s up to you to make a plan to protect your family.  A new book is out with the information you need to do so: Ebola Survival Handbook: A Collection of Tips, Strategies, and Supply Lists From Some of the World’s Best Preparedness Professionals

The book is an anthology of informative posts from some very popular preparedness writers, many of them regular contributors here at The Daily Sheeple. It includes articles from authors like:

The book itself is 138 pages. It covers:

  • The basics of the disease, including information on transmission and symptoms
  • Prevention through social distancing
  • Creating isolation rooms
  • Basic hygiene and sanitation
  • General pandemic preparedness in the event that you have to go into lockdown to lessen your risk of contracting the disease
  • Dealing with diseased corpses should public services become unavailable

One cannot overstate the wisdom of a hard copy of vital information in the midst of a disaster. Many of these articles have been previously published online, but this book conveniently compiles the knowledge you need into one place.  It also contains information from the Center for Disease Control, the World Health Organization, and some original content unique to the book. It concludes with a bonus section of handy checklists to help you collect the necessary supplies quickly and efficiently.

$7.99 … it’s a small price to pay for an anthology specific to this threat from the professionals we look to for information on a regular basis.  Order your copy today:

  • Reading a lot about prepping, this Ebola epidemic seems to leave even many preppers unbelievers. After prepping for anything like hurricanes and volcanos and civil unrest and solar storms and EMP etc., nothing of which has yet struck in seriousness, now comes along Ebola where everyone would have thought the best medical infrastructure on Earth (US, then Germany and Switzerland as runners-up) will keep every such thing at bay.

  • Why must someone always make profit off the information we may need to sustain life when something like Ebola hits? It’s nice the book is available, but we have to purchase it to find out all the info. Why can’t someone just put it on the net to help everyone instead of helping their own pocketbook?

    • Carol: The information IS on the net. The reason it’s in book form is so that people can get a hard copy, because we never know if the net will be available in an emergency.

This is not a huge profit kind of thing. I know that with my own venture into self publishing that most of the cover price of the book goes to printing costs. All of the contributors are listed, so if a person wants the information for free, they can easily go and search it up. There’s no hard sell here. It’s simply a collection of information in one place in hard copy format.

I know that I, as well as the other contributors, put out ton of free information. I don’t charge for access to my website. Everyone that reads this site probably works for a living, and they get paid for that work. I don’t understand why my work is valued less than that of someone who works outside the home. I don’t know why it would seem like I’m reluctant to help others or even greedy, because I get somewhere around 10 cents per copy of this book when people opt to buy it.

I’m sure you don’t mean it as an attack, but it is hurtful to be accused of “helping my own pocketbook” and not helping others. I allow everything I write to be republished in full by whatever site wishes to do so. I have a print button on every page of my site. And I’m greedy for making 10 cents on a voluntary purchase?

      Sincerely,

      Daisy

  • Thank you for taking the time to put together such a VALUABLE resource as this book. Why is it valuable? It is a compendum of knowledge designed to provide Preppers with the information, tools and resources everyone needs to minimize their exposure to, and help people survive one of the worst plagues of modern History.
So yes, you can spend hours on the net sorting through vast amounts of information, deciphering correct information from misinformation, or you can buy a hard copy book which contains the information you need.
The book costs money….the person who wrote it spent many HOURS putting together the information, contacting Contributors to get permission to add their information, and then formatting the book, converting the files, and working with a designer, or creating their own cover, as well as a thousand other tasks that goes into creating a book.

So don’t begrudge the AUTHOR for making money on a BOOK…..they are sharing their time with all of us for free on their website, offering mountains of information, tools, tips, and resources for free.

They work for a living, on their blogs, and creating hard copy books that most people would appreciate having.

If you can’t see this, or understand why an Author charges for their book, then…don’t buy the book. But don’t complain about them charging for it.

    -‘Nuff said.
