Easy, Yummy, No-Cook Protein Powder Treats

Customize these to suit your own dietary needs. For example, if you are on a lower carb diet, don’t add the honey and substitute nuts for the raisins.

No-Bake Protein Peanut Butter Balls

This is a yummy power outage treat since it requires no cooking or baking.

  • 1/2 cup of  nut butter (we use a natural peanut butter for this)
  • 1 cup of chocolate protein powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp. honey (optional – we think it’s plenty sweet with just the protein powder)

With a fork, combine the nut butter with the protein power until you have a smooth batter. Add in the vanilla and honey if you’re using it. This can be eaten with a spoon, or rolled into little balls and put on a piece of waxed paper. If you aren’t making these during a power outage, you can store them in the fridge for a bit more firmness.

Optional: Roll them in chopped nuts, seeds, or coconut.

No-Bake Oatmeal “Cookie” Protein Balls

  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 1 cup of your favorite vanilla protein powder
  • 1/2 cup of natural peanut butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup of raisins or dried cranberries
  • 3 tbsp. water if needed
  • 2 tsp. of honey (optional)

Mix all of the ingredients except the water and the raisins in a large bowl. Gently stir in the raisins, then, if needed, add some water to get the desired consistency. Use your hands to roll these into balls. These taste best if refrigerated for an hour before you eat them.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Protein Balls

  • 1 cup of your favorite vanilla protein powder
  • 1/2 cup of natural nut butter (almond butter is nice and mild for this)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of mini chocolate chips (more if you need them)
  • 2 tsp. of honey (optional)
  • water if needed

Mix all of the ingredients except the water and the chocolate chips in a large bowl. Gently stir in the chocolate chips, then, if needed, add some water to get the desired consistency. Use your hands to roll these into balls. Store them in the refrigerator if they actually make it there.

Basic Protein Pancakes

Okay – you do have to cook this one but I wanted to include it anyway.

Here’s a new spin on pancakes. Make them in either a well-greased or non-toxic, non-stick skillet. This is a basic recipe that can be adapted to also include the fruits that you have on hand. Throw a banana in the blender or stir whole berries into the mixed batter before cooking. This recipe is for one hungry person.

  • 1/2 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of cottage cheese
  • 2 scoop of your favorite protein powder
  • 2 eggs or 4 egg whites
  • 1 tsp of baking powder

Put all of your ingredients in the blender until smooth. Set the burner to medium-high heat and pre-heat your skillet. Use about 2 tbsp of batter per pancake. If you cover them while they cook, it will help to assure the insides get done faster. Cook for one minute on the first side and about 30 seconds on the second. Top with whatever suits your fancy.
