Thank you, Daisy. I picked up the set of 4 headlamps. I already own the same, and I can vouch for their quality. Will add these into my EDC bag, my storm shelter, and my travel purse. They were much pricier from Home Depot.
Thanks for the suggestions Daisy. I already have many of these items. During Prime Day this fall, I got a couple of portable power banks, one for home, one for my vehicle. I love that you can fully charge them from your home’s electric power and also using a solar panel. I got a larger solar panel for home and a smaller one for my vehicle. My biggest Black Friday purchase was an electric throw blanket I can keep in my vehicle winter survival kit. If I get stuck sleeping in my car in the elements, the heated blanket and my battery will keep me cozy, not just alive. I have mylar blankets, tube tent, and bivvy as well, but the electric blanket will actually help me to stay warm.
A good manual can opener is always nice to have, and it pays to have extras on hand.
Other hand tools are good too, as are packages of assorted nails, screws, duct tape, string, etc.
Books on different survival skills, plant identification, cooking from scratch are good gifts and you can often get them used at thrift stores or online for a fraction of the cost of new. I like Better World Books – prices are reasonable and the books are usually in very good condition. Other used book sellers I’ve gotten things from have sent me books in very poor condition, so be careful when buying online.
