Here are the small habits we’re incorporating into our daily lives.
- We’re drinking water before we drink other beverages.
- We’re adding a serving of fruit or veggies before each meal.
- We’re adding more movement to our day.
- We are performing 5 minutes of gentle stretches before we get out of bed in the morning.
- We are focusing on some rest or relaxation time on a daily basis.
- Replacing calorie-laden, nutritionally-barren snacks with fruits and veggies.

I hope that so far this challenge has helped you to see that improving your health isn’t always about big, dramatic, sweeping changes and deprivation. We can see so much improvement when we add positive habits on a daily and weekly basis.

I’m losing weight and my blood sugar numbers have come down where they are supposed to be. I am very happy! I really like your challenge. It is fun to read it every day and watch the changes in the way I feel when I incorporate these ideas into my daily regimen.
i’ve been watching your headlines on these articles, it sure does make me feel guilty for not doing as much as I should. I guess I’m old, lazy and doomed. One thought I had, for those who don’t want to do much, but want to do – something – : Get A Puppy!
I did. And, I didn’t know I had difficulty bending down, squatting and reaching, until I got one. At first, I was in downright, pain P.A.I.N.. But, I loosened up after awhile and became more flexible. Noticeably so.
I certainly learned how to, ’embrace the suck’ when I had to take the whiney-needy puppy outside at midnight for a potty break. Having a baby is the only closest thing to having a puppy.
And, now that the puppy is older, according to Cesar Milan, it’s necessary to go for AT LEAST an hour walk per day to have a well balanced dog, and this Gen X-er had trouble at first walking that long, but now, not so much. I mean, I need a reason to work-out, or go for a walk, I can’t get myself to do that, ‘just because’. I imagine that applies to those much y9ounger than I as well. …Hope that encourages someone.
