By now, everyone has heard about the horrific shooting yesterday in Sutherland Springs, Texas, in which a man dressed in tactical gear entered the First Baptist Church and opened fire. 26 people were killed and 20 others were injured.
Of course, the tears were still wet on people’s cheeks when the anti-gun folks began screaming for gun control. Chelsea Handler, struggling to be relevant, made this ignorant Tweet:
If the pro-gun control people want to blame someone besides the man in there pulling the trigger, the man who illegally got a weapon, maybe they should look in the mirror. Maybe they should consider their own complicity in making guns more difficult for law-abiding citizens to carry. Maybe they should look at their part in this war on guns and gun owners. Perhaps their derision played a part in seeing to it that no one in that church had the means to stop that killer.
If these folks had their way, none of us would be allowed to be armed…except, of course, the criminals who wouldn’t follow the laws anyway. The New York Times published an op-ed solemnly titled, “It’s Not Too Soon to Debate Gun Control” immediately on the heels of the shooting. Okay. If that’s what you want, then here’s my side of the debate. And it’s based on facts, not on emotional rhetoric.
Let’s be honest. The person to blame for this tragedy was the shooter.
Devin Patrick Kelley got his gun illegally.
It’s essential to note that the shooter was dishonorably discharged from the Air Force for assaulting his wife and child, and due to this, it is illegal for him to have a gun.
Huh. What a shock. A criminal who broke the law (by lying on his background check) and got a gun.
Let me just emphasize that the shooter circumvented our existing gun laws and got a gun anyway.
Because people who are going to commit a crime like shooting 46 people do not worry about silly things like lying on a background check.
A good guy with a gun stopped a bad guy with a gun.
What the gun-control people are missing is that it was a neighbor with a gun who ended this cowardly attack on unarmed churchgoers. This is the part of the story that gun control advocates don’t want you to hear. It’s the part that they conveniently ignore while screaming that guns are the problem.
If it hadn’t been for two brave men and judicious marksmanship, Kelley’s killing spree could have continued. There could be more dead bodies in Sutherland Springs, Texas this morning.
Because the police didn’t show up until this situation was long over.
Here’s the part of the story we SHOULD be talking about.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, church neighbor Stephen Willeford “grabbed his rifle and engaged the suspect.” Willeford was alerted by his daughter, who called him and said that a man in body armor was shooting people in the church.
He grabbed his gun and bravely headed down to confront the killer.
The local said that while Willeford has no military experience, he is an excellent shot, and when he came face to face with Kelley, he didn’t hesitate; he shot in between Kelley’s body armor, hitting him in his side.
The 26-year-old had dropped his Ruger assault rifle and climbed in an SUV to flee the scene.
He said that Kelley had taken a hostage in the passenger seat as he fled. (source)
What would have happened if Willeford hadn’t taken action?
Authorities said the armed neighbor may have saved countless lives by opening fire on Kelley and forcing him to flee the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs during his 11:30 a.m. massacre. (source)
Here’s the story in Willeford’s own words.
Another report said that Kelley had “several guns” in his SUV. What was Kelley planning to do once he left the church? We’ll never know because of two brave men.
The story didn’t end there in the church parking lot, though.
Another local resident, Johnnie Langendorff, happened to drive through the intersection when Willeford and Kelley were exchanging gunfire. He picked Willeford up, and the two men pursued the shooter.
“The shooter of the church had taken off, fled in his vehicle, the other gentleman came and said we need to pursue him. And that’s what I did…
He got a little bit of a jump on us. We were doing about 95 (mph) down (Route) 539 going around traffic and everything. Eventually he came to a kind of a slowdown and after that we got within just a few feet of him and then he got off the road.
He just lost control. That is when I put the vehicle in park and I was still on the phone to dispatch (police). The other gentleman jumped out and has his rifle drawn on him. He didn’t move after that.”
Police arrived within five to seven minutes to the location where the shooter stopped. (source)
Let me repeat, it took police FIVE TO SEVEN MINUTES to get to the location where the shooter stopped. This was after the two men had chased him for a distance and after a man engaged the shooter and after he had opened fire on a church. So we have to be talking about at least 10 minutes. At least.

Kelley must have realized there was no escape and shot himself after he ran off the road.
The man who killed at least 26 people in a Baptist church in a rural Texas town on Sunday died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Wilson County Sheriff Joe Tackitt told CBS News in an interview on Monday morning….
“There was some gunfire exchanged, I believe, on the roadway also, and then (the shooter’s vehicle) wrecked out,” said Tackitt. “At this time we believe that he had a self-inflicted gunshot wound, after he wrecked out.” (source)
So tell me again about how civilized people should call the police and wait for help. Tell me about how dangerous it is for Americans to have guns and take the responsibility for their own safety.
What if someone in that church had been carrying concealed?
Maybe today, I wouldn’t be writing about dead children. A two-year-old. A six-year-old. An 8-year-old. A fourteen-year-old.
Maybe I wouldn’t be writing about 26 people who were mowed down by a criminal who had a gun illegally. Maybe when Kelley stopped to reload, someone could have stopped him.
Instead, the people in that church were powerless victims.
Daisy, I can tell the frustration in your words. I am with you 100%.
I live in a small town less that 200 miles from where this happened. I attended a Baptist Church yesterday morning. We had a wonderful service and all raised our voices in song. What if someone had walked in – behind us all as we stood and sang and began shooting?
We would never have heard him come in.
We always welcome visitors in church. Usually first thing before services officially begin. Yesterday, there was a lone man there who no one knew. I turned around to look at him. It never occurred to me to wonder about his being there. I even thought that when services were over I should seek him out and welcome him to church. Now I’m disturbed about his presence.
Also, this past Friday there was a community gathering in town where a free lunch was served. My husband has a role in this yearly event and when he came home he told me there was a man – dressed all in black – who came through the line for lunch. He said it unnerved him because this person didn’t want to fill out a ticket with name and phone to win a prize. This is also extremely disturbing.
My husband and I have discussed many times that for church we need to consider having an armed person to guard us. We are originally from Houston where most people have a different approach and idea to safety. There we lock our houses, cars and are much more aware of our surroundings. Here, no one locks their homes. They will even tell a friend or neighbor “just go to my house and pick up what you need.”
There are many doors into our church and all of them provide access to behind the parishioners during the service. Yesterday, we discussed our venerability to attack.
I am beyond horrified at this attack. And, I’m angry that I can’t even feel safe in my own church with people I know and love.
The liberal gun control screaming is not the answer. As you so eloquently stated. Mental health is the issue. No sane person walks into a church and murders people.
Hi TC, excellent post. I agree 99.8% with ya. There are sane people who want to murder. Not all murderers are mentally ill. There are smart, self sufficient, calculating people people who want to do horrific things to innocent people. These people are simply EVIL. EVIL exists, EVIL is among us, EVIL takes action when they want to. EVIL is growing in our world and becoming more visible and more destructive.
The only thing that can stop or limit EVIL, is a prepared and ready GOOD person as thankfully was the case in Sutherland Springs.
Amen, to that! Good piece, Daisy! Not quite a shocker the media has, conveniently, left out that major piece of the story. Thank you for exposing it because I saw a few things this morning on this and NONE of it said a peep about citizens stepping in the help. All the articles made is sound as if the police chased him down (I am in no way against the police. I respect the very difficult job they have. So for those of you ready to pounce on that, please don’t). Just not sure how taking guns away will solve the problem. Criminals who want to do harm will always find a way to do so. Have an awesome day, Daisy, and keep up the good work!
I don’t know if those who take Daisy to task about her “promotion” of violence will show up today. The circumstances seem pretty clear cut to me.
This is my takeaway from all this – that people who want to control others will find the means to control others and no top-down law is going to stop that. The means they employ may be violent or they may be intellectual / verbal.
Whatever means totalitarians want to employ, those of us who do not wish to be controlled need to be prepared to defend ourselves – verbally and intellectually if the attack is non-violent or with force should these sociopaths choose violence.
I’m grateful that the AntiFa, those who would substitute one sort of control over us for another, were disappointed this weekend. Let us remain on our guard and not allow ourselves to be disarmed in any way, either intellectually nor physically.
This all horribly sad, but l think what’s sadder is the woman you said in your email that posted that those people should have waited for police to handle the situation. That kind of mindset is what gets people killed … and, unfortunately what will probably be our country’s worst downfall!
Great article. Thanks!
Texas Church Shooter Was Antifa..
Police have identified Antifa member Devin Patrick Kelley as the Sutherland Springs Church Killer Devin Kelly, who killed at least 27 people and injured many more, was one of two shooters in the church, according to eyewitnesses, who also report Kelly carried an Antifa flag and told the churchgoers “this is a communist revolution” before unloading on the congregation, reloading several times.
http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2341778
I’m not saying this is false, but I have not been able to confirm the Antifa connection at this time.
Communists always target the religious to be exterminated, because religious people believe in a power higher than the State. For totalitarian regimes such as communism to seize total control, the religious, the self-sufficient and the questioning must be exterminated.
The tens of millions of victims of past collectivist regimes are witness to the cold-blooded, calculating evil of the footsoldiers of collectivism. The irony of this fact is that, after securing their power, collectivist regimes always slaughter their footsoldiers due to the threat they pose to the newly-established regime. Those who do the dirty-work are so blind to the lessons of history that they always think “it won’t happen to me.”
I heard on TV news this a.m. that there may be some audio and video of at least part of the attack. A lot of churches record the Sunday sermon for review later and also to provide a DVD for someone who missed the service.
According to a Fox news report there is a partial record of the attack, so if the shooter yelled out anything, perhaps we will know. Of course some news outlets may not report it.
We also heard that the Las Vegas shooter had Antifa literature in his room and nothing has come of that.
When will we find out if Kelley was on a prescription SSRI or other antidepressant? Also, we’re still waiting to get out of the “rumor” phase about Kelley joining Antifa or converting to Islam. All we know so far is he was a murderous loser, a loose cannon, a bomb waiting to go off — all with no serious monitoring in spite of the billions spent on domestic spying.
I also live less than 200 miles from the location. It hits home for me as yet another senseless tragedy that could have been so much worse. Praise to the brave community members who had the guts and the MEANS to engage and stop him from doing worse. This is why I always carry and have one in the chamber. Thank you for Daisy for putting into words what so many of us feel.
Absolutely Horrible!! I would’ve never thought we as a country (Americans) would do this to one another. We all have our crosses we must carry, but to resort to this………. Unfortunately I believe it’s going to get worse.
I feel like the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Which was demonstrated according to the story yesterday after the Texas church massacre. I think churches should talk about getting groups together and arming them during services. It’s a shame it’s come to that, but this is not business as usual anymore. Those of you with concealed carry permits should be carrying in church if you feel that is your calling. If that church says that they don’t allow permit holders to carry, then find another church to attend that has no problem with it, and even encourages it, and be there for that congregation. Criminals will always find a way to be armed. Then where will we be? I for one don’t like the idea of being a sitting duck for these assassins targeting the innocent. Refuse to be a victim!
These people were in a church, praying to their god. The praying did not save them. Does that not tell you something about pray and church and religion and god??????
Poor choice of articles to troll, methinks.
Amen girl! I am so tired of tiny minded “trying to be relevant” people blaming those of us who are law abiding, hard working, over taxed and tax paying, pro-constitutional gun owners of being the cause behind the horrific terroristic attacks these wack jobs who need significant mental help and supervision do against us. I work with people who have disabilities and in my opinion the massive extension of rights that are given to this group of people are in many cases excessive. When you have a mental illness that you are required to take meds to keep you mentally stable, have had domestic violence, assaults or other physically harming crimes against others then you should be under constant and strict supervision. We have a huge mental health crisis here in the U.S. that has been ignored for too many years. In my home town in northern Idaho I see people who I know through working with that are mentally ill who have contracted MRSA and are allowed to just walk around town shopping, eating out, going to community events and nobody knows they have it so they cant protect themselves. There is NOBODY monitoring them like there needs to be. So someone with mental illnesses can kill others, infect others, etc. because they have a right to the same “freedoms” we do. But hey we sure can continue to work out fingers to the bone and pay far too high of taxes so they can continue to live off the system we pay for. Who gives a shit about creating a new law that does absolutely nothing because there is nobody to monitor this mental health problem in a way to make the kind of difference we need to see. That Rugar rifle the shooter was carrying did not wake up and say (or plan over a period of time) I’m going to kill people today, drive itself to that church, walk in and start shooting. So now all these occurrences of mass shooting are going to make it even more difficult for the rest of us who want to buy a gun. It is an unjust system of corruption from the top to the bottom and unfortunately it only gets worse, which is when they come to take our guns away.
Isn’t it obvious to you that there’s a larger plan being implemented here? Did you read the other comments describing other black-clad strangers appearing and “casing the joint” for potential future attacks? Do you recall the Obama years of frequent, planned, sometimes staged, mass shootings all in a constant propaganda effort to disarm the populace? Notice what’s really happening here…
Also link this with the guy who was dead for 2 weeks in a swanky neighborhood, whose townhouse was packed to the gills with guns (1,200 was the reported number) and over two TONS of ammunition… The enemies of our liberties are truly on a rampage. Recognize the enemies within, and keep your heart open to your neighbors and others of good character. Learn to be vigilant and prepare to defend yourself and your community. THAT is the American way. Disarming oneself and waiting helplessly for the police or other authorities to arrive is the path to victimhood, slavery and totalitarian dictatorship.
I agree with Desiree. What American society allows for the mentally ill is a huge problem. Just a regular workday for me, too, to have clients threaten to kill someone. Usually I assume they mean me, since I’m the social services lady sitting across the table. They say, aloud, that they shouldn’t have to control their behavior or speech and the world should take up the slack for whatever they feel they need. These are folk just walking around daily life, riding the bus, shopping at the grocery. Courtesy of the rest of us, they needn’t work, except for their tax-free side job (dealing). Of course, that leaves plenty of time to make lots of kids they can’t support. But, no worries, the rest of us will fund the kids, who have no chance of turning out right… Don’t know what the answer is, but this situation will continue to bite us in the hindquarters until we obtain a better balance between what the mentally sick need and what the rest of us need.
Dear Daisy,
I found your website by searching for information about the hostage taken in this terrible shooting. I, too saw the same video you referenced in your article. That video has now been edited. I can find no mention of a hostage taken on any major news site or station, or on youtube.
The narrative of this event seems to be controlled; politically if you ask me. I find this vaguely disturbing, and the only explanation I can think of is to advance gun control.
President Trump mentioned looking into gun control, this morning. After his return from Asia. I know, he has said this isn’t a gun control issue, but a mental health one. Nevertheless, I saw him talk about gun control this morning. I wonder if that video has been edited, too?
JRO
What in the world is going on? This is the first mention of a hostage I have heard. After I read it, i went to Some other sites but didn’t see any mention of hostage. Again, I guess we aren’t getting the entire picture – rather an edited, controlled version of this tragic event.
Daisy – thank you for your insight, input, and effort to pass along the accurate events taking place!
M
Good article Daisy!
This what the anti-gun people fail to realize…..you are responsible to defend yourself & others if possible because it is impossible for the police to be where they will be needed because there will never be enough police. But the anti-gun line is: Bend over & take it till the cops arrive. We hope you’re still alive by that time.
Only by looking out for each other as happened at this church can we defeat the bad people,
otherwise we are all just victims(dead or alive) waiting for the police to show up write a report & investigate who they should look or after the fact.
So why can’t we just hire more police officers? Don’t our taxes pay for them? If we can afford police militarisation, then we can afford more police. Without needing police to literally seize our property (see civil forfeiture) in order to pay for their budget.
Sorry Daisy your theory just does not stack up. If gun ownership by ‘good guys’ is enough to stop a massacre then why wasn’t he stopped prior to 20 people being massacred? I am an Australian and we have not had one mass shooting since tighter gun ownership post 1996 when one lone gunman killed 35 people. I get your desire to continue to have the right for access to firearms however know that that right costs the lives of many more than it saves. Have a quick read of this article, if be keen to hear your thoughts.
https://www.google.com.au/amp/bigthink.com/strange-maps/mass-shooting-maps-compared.amp
I would say that Australia has fewer mass shootings because of culture, not because of gun ownership restrictions. I don’t think that Australia was the mass murder capital of the world before 1996 and became a land of peace afterwards.
When American culture was closer to that of Australia, we had fewer mass murders too. We also had a lot fewer gun control laws and background checks were nonexistent. Now that our nation is populated with self-absorbed, tantrum-throwing snowflakes, it makes sense to take away guns; just as you would take a gun away from any other 2 year old.
However, treating [real] adults like a 2 year old is very insulting. On top of that, those of us who are real adults must protect ourselves from these childish adults who would kill us in order to take our stuff or rape our loved ones or to make a point or just for the fun of it. If a population is peaceful, gun laws are pointless because nobody shoots another human being without cause. If a population is violent, gun laws puts guns in the hands of the infant and takes them away from the law-abiding citizen. Gun laws are at best, pointless and at worst, deadly.
Most lamestream media are not mentioning that the US Air Force blundered horribly when they failed to report to the FBI’s database (for criminal background checking) about the murderer’s dishonorable discharge. That alone would have blocked the legal weapon sale to him.
Per this link:

Excerpt:
“…the shooter had slipped through the cracks because the Air Force failed to have the FBI add his [military criminal record] to the Criminal Background Check System after his court-martial.”
Here’s a little more detail:
https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/nov/6/air-force-didnt-submit-church-shooters-criminal-hi/
Excerpt:
“Kelley pleaded guilty during the 2012 court-martial to assaulting his then-wife and stepson, and was sentenced to up to five years confinement, but wound up serving 12 months, according to National Public Radio.
He left the military in 2014 after receiving a “bad-conduct discharge.”
Those convicted of domestic violence or receiving a dishonorable discharge from the military—which is not the same as a bad-conduct discharge—are prohibited under federal law from purchasing firearms.”
Sharyl Attkisson explains here why nobody trusts the mainstream media anymore:
https://www.redstate.com/brandon_morse/2017/11/06/watch-no-one-trusts-mainstream-media/
You are 100%+ spot on. Another thing that is never cleared up in these kind of shootings it the constant reference to “an assault weapon” or an “assault type weapon”. The military have a well worked definition of an assault rifle. It is a “select fire rifle……”. This means a rifle that can be fired in semi-automatic mode or full automatic mode. The rifle used in this and many other such crimes were not select fire rifles. They were all semi-automatic only weapons. Yes a semi-auto can be modified to fire in full auto mode. It is a crime to do, but as you have stated several times, legality is not something that criminals loose any sleep over.
I must admit, that this calls to mind sensible gun control legislation that is needed.
First off: I believe that the government shouldn’t ban guns just because they look scary. But there is one way to stop something like this from happening.
Other countries around the world have a national registry of gun owners. This registry tells gun shop owners that a person has not only passed comprehensive gun tests, but is also mentally stable. All a gun owner has to do is carry around a firearms licence, like a driver’s licence.
This card, when checked by a gun shop owner, tells the gun shop owner that this person had passed a criminal background check and has been deemed by the government as mentally stable. No more lying on your background checks.
This isn’t about ‘assault’ rifles or high capacity magazines, but about having a comprehensive system that stops lying criminals from purchasing guns legally. This system will only work though if the government also bans making firearms without a licence, selling firearms privately (meaning that the gun is sold from one private citizen to another, without going through a federally registered gun dealership) and specifically targets the selling of illegal firearms, or the illegal sale of legal firearms.
This could work, but only if the government, from the president to your local sheriff, puts in the framework and the actual enforcement of these laws.
So, if you really want to stop criminals from easily getting guns, become a vocal member of expanding background checks and creating a registry of gun owners, so that criminals and the mentally ill can’t legally purchase firearms by lying.
Or even just expanding background checks. Basically make it so that criminals can’t self regulate themselves by filling out a background check themselves, without oversight.
Because, if you’re REALLY a law-abiding citizen, then you should have nothing to hide, and no reason to say that “It’s unconstitutional”, as you’re not a criminal.
I’m truly sorry to tell you this but you are quite unaware of how things work in politics. People in power are there for power and money, not to serve you. Police serve the state, not you; and I take no less authority than a ruling by the Supreme Court on that question for this statement.
I have personally experienced this for myself. I have worked for the state for almost 20 years. I’ve watched the payoffs, the removal of the inconvenient, the giving of special favors to the compliant.
When my car was robbed, the police said there was nothing they could do – they didn’t even bother to take fingerprints. When the car owned by a lady just down the street was robbed by the same guy, they caught him within a day. The reason? She was grandmother to one of the police officers in the town barracks. Additionally, I never got my stuff back, even though I went to the department and asked for it. I’ll bet $10 that SHE got HER stuff back.
Law-abiding citizens have nothing to hide? That’s been the cry of the totalitarian for a very, very long time and I won’t Godwin the conversation by pointing out the obvious.
Yes Daisy, many men and women that I know here in Texas would’ve done the same thing that Mr. Langendorff did in similar circumstances. Most carry all the time on their person and in there vehicle. In Texas, your vehicle is an extension of your home and a license to carry is not required, so that a person can protect themselves in their vehicles while traveling…and companies can not prohibit a person from carrying in their vehicles while parked in a company parking lot, so that the employee can protect themselves to and from work.
I’m a little baffled as to why nobody was carrying in the church, because many churches, including ours, have certain people that carry, just in case.
And, like you said, the cops or sheriffs take time to get there, especially if you’re out of the city limits like we are…
“Mr Langendorff stayed on the phone with police while the 2nd man got out of the car & pointed his rifle at Kelley’s vehicle.
He said it took between 5 & 7 minutes for the police to arrive”
When a reporter asked what was going through Langedorff’s mind at the moment he found out that Kelley had just shot up a church in his hometown, he replied, “Try and get him, to get him apprehended or whatever needed to happen. I mean, it was strictly just acting on what the right thing to do was.”
“THE RIGHT THING TO DO”
Guys like him, and most Texans that I know, operate off of a moral code of what is right and wrong, a moral code that the left would love to destroy.
Langendorff knew that it had to be him and his armed neighbor, chasing down Kelley and that’s what they did, because it was a moral imperative.
https://youtu.be/rwYd2kIZxk4
I bet they give Mr. Langendorff a ticket for speeding … 😉
I’m surprised churches still leave their doors unlocked…especially ones to their back. Our church locks all doors and has volunteers who patrol the grounds. Several are conceal carry on a given Sunday, including myself. Visitors are escorted inside and welcomed after doors are opened for them. Several visitors have been asked to leave backpacks outside the worship service. They refused so their entry was denied…in a polite Southern way of course! Places of worship need to begin thinking tactically (sad as that is), and looking at the security measures (if any) that they have in place.
Hey Daisy:
Great Article, thanks for the clear analysis & take away. Long time reader of yours on LewRockwell.com !
Couple of interesting tidbits:
I was wondering if this might be an elaborate hoax, that morphed into a ‘real event’.
A few red flags, curious items I noted:
– No Bio information on either the Associate or Head Pastor of ‘Sutherland Springs First Baptist Church’ that I could find.
Just a thumbnail pic & very ‘boilerplate’ generic info on the Church website.
Most churches totally promote their pastor, give you voluminous details, his theological background & education.
Not so on Pastor Frank Pomeroy’, who, conveniently, was out of town during the shooting.
Ditto for the ‘Associate pastor’ who was said to be killed, along with his wife & family. I searched his name for his church / theological training & history & got 0 hits.
I did see a mainstream article saying he met his wife at a Democrat Convention, political rally.
Rather odd for a Pastor at a rural Texas church, wouldn’t you agree ?
Also the church website looks very amateurish, and had little or no detail on the community or the members. Odd.
Google reviews for the church – 5 in total, were all super short, generic & dated within the last 4 months.
Ok, here’s my surmisal:
In Texas, about 25% of the rural small church buildings are unoccupied. Not kidding.
To occupy you just start using it & the county will have the utilities turned on for you and you are now ‘running a church’.
(Our established church did exactly that 10 years ago – I was surprised that was possible when told by the Pastor & Head Elder).
So how hard would it be for some nefarious deep state forces intent upon creating more false flag / hoaxes to have taken control of an abandoned rural church a few months back, bring in a cast of ‘Crisis Actors’ , dummy up a boiler plate church website, and stage this whole event ?
I’m just suspicious. The Orlando Nightclub shooting was TOTALLY FAKED, and so was Sandy Hook Elementary.
Those ‘higher powers’ (really, demonic lower powers, right ?) that do this nearly always pick a county where the sheriff is compromised or compliant so as not to upset the narrative, or get in the way of the Feds / Deep State con. Funny how at most of these ‘events’ the Feds are instantly on the scene, crowding out the local or State law enforcement.
I do think that IF this was a ‘staged event’, with a church full of crisis actors, fake blood, pre-ordained story lines – only certain ‘victims’ profiled in depth in a pre-determined narrative, that the intervention of the heroic neighbors / bystanders went ‘Off Script’ and in a way that was NOT helpful to the overall desired effect – complete disarmamment of the US states & especially Freedom and 2nd Amendment loving TEXAS.
And I do think the shooter was legitimately shot & killed. Was he shooting blanks in that church ?
I’m sure it looked very real if so, and the bystander / heroes who sprung into action absolutely believed that many had been killed !
Did anyone see any pictures of actual victims ? I wonder: when to the many public funerals begin ?
Another item of suspicion (haven’t verified; others please comment) :
I was told the Facebook profile for Devin Kelly – the now infamous one showing his ‘murder weapon’ – was taken down within 1 hour of the incident.
Doesn’t that seem odd ? How on earth did the news spread so fast that far – when even local police lagged “5-7 minutes behind” the local Heroes – that Facebook was able to pull his page that quick ?
Unless they knew ahead and timed things rather awkwardly ? Any better theories ?
I am just trying to get us thinking here. The story may be 100% as presented, true.
But many parts of it may be falsified as well. The only way we’ll get at the Truth is to seek it with all our heart
I did try to search for local news papers or resources, none were found.
All I found was big city Texas (Statist – Liberal) or US Media reports, most of them echoing each other, and most calling for ‘Gun control’ within the articles.
After the Election year debacle, where the media lied 24/7 against Trump and those who favored Liberty & in favor of the corrupt Hillary, I don’t believe the media to be Trustworthy – at all.
Count on them to stomp on our Liberty & promote tyranny.
I think that whatever the details, these events are meant to discourage us from loving our families & neighbors and make us to feel personally under siege from Evil – to make us literally give up the fight and quit.
By God’s grace, I pledge that I and my family won’t !
“Sammy Adams – Texas Christian Patriot”
No human being in the world needs a gun that can fire over 100 bullets per minute. You want to go hunting, buy a hunting rifle. Target practice? Own a hand gun. Wan to protect yourself from rampaging zombie hoards? See a psychiatrist.
Actually, I correct my first sentence. No human being in the world needs a gun that can fire more than 10 bullets per minute. No one.
Ryan:
Do you apply that “rate of fire” limitation to militaries & government forces like police, or just to private individuals ?
After all the purported shooter was trained by the US military to use high rate of fire weapons, like you disapprove of.
I hope you’re willing to be consistent here.
If not you’re merely promoting “government supremacy” – the kind of which killed over 250 million victims in the 20th century alone – a veritable mountain of skulls.
Why is it that the mass surveillance system misses these people? Yet I am a law abiding Christian under nonstop surveillance since 9/11/01? Why are people with no criminal intent watched, but people who have intent to commit horrific crimes go unnoticed? Why does the left believe that taking guns away from law abiding citizens will prevent criminals who obtain guns illegally, from still obtaining guns illegally? Does not the record seem to indicate that all that gun control laws seem to accomplish is to make law abiding citizens more vulnerable to criminal attacks?
I’d say that it’s 2 reasons.
1.) They (the government) needs to show relevancy – that is, they need to justify their existence.
2.) There’s no money to be had in stopping mass-murdering losers.
Of all the moronic nonsense from simpleton Americans, this must be the top of the list.
So more guns protect those who have guns?
Or are you saying, more guns in the environment protect the innocent?
Who knows!
Because your arguments are so twisted and distorted, along with complete intellectual dishonesty, and just based on appealing to emotion, that any neutral observer to this nonsense could both laugh and cry.
The audacity to make this argument stick, is breathtaking in its stupidity.
Simple question to you moronic gun toting wannabes.
How come, in the country that I live, Australia, there have been no mass shootings since we banned semi/automatic weapons 20 years ago? Do you have the balls or brains to answer that question?
And once you’ve finished throwing up on yourself, attempting to answer that question, maybe you can try and refute what is stated here, by your own Prof at Stanford University.
