Preppers are often current events junkies – I know I certainly am. We check out the news in a different way than the non-prepared. We want to know things like:

  • What is coming down the pipe that I can be prepared for?
  • What can I learn from an ongoing emergency that may help me be better prepared in the future?
  • What do I need to protect my family from?

The thing that sets us apart is that good or bad, we want to know what’s going on. Knowledge is power.

I know this kind of information is important to you, because every week, the most popular article on my website is Survival Saturday, a round-up of news stories from the previous week. These stories focus on preparedness and the pursuit of liberty, topics of the utmost importance to those of us leading a preparedness lifestyle.

So, I was thinking, people might like to see these stories every day.

But, writing Survival Saturday takes several hours and I only cover 3 topics. There are tons more things out there that we all want to know about.

Sifting through the news to get to those things which are most important to us can take a lot of time. I know this because I do so each morning when choosing what I’m going to write about. So, I decided to put that research time to use in a way that will make easier for you, too.

Today, I’d like to introduce my new website, Preppers Daily News.

Modeled after the aggregate style of one of my own favorite sources, Drudge Report, the new site is a series of headlines with the topics that I found to be the most interesting while sifting through dozens of news sites each day. The articles are chosen for their bearing on those of us who want to be prepared. They’re about:

  • Looming threats to our well-being
  • Stories about liberty, free speech, and self-reliance
  • Natural disasters
  • Man-made emergencies
  • Health hazards
  • Cyber attacks
  • Economic indicators
  • Civil unrest

You get the idea…the things you can be ready for if you know about them or the things that can inspire you to be better prepared, regardless of where you are in your journey. This isn’t where to go to learn about HOW to prep. (Check out Prepper Website for that!) This is where to go to learn WHY to prep.

Please check out Preppers Daily News – my team and I will be updating the site throughout the day. Your support by bookmarking Preppers Daily News and making this part of your daily routine will help us determine whether this is something that is wanted and needed in the preparedness community.

We have an email address for tips, so if you see a story we’ve missed (or if you’re a blogger with a news story), send it here: preppersdailynews (at) gmail.com – if it fits, we’ll happily add it.

PS: We’re still under construction. I’ll be adding links to my favorite websites and news sources over the next few days and we’ll be polishing things up. Let me know in the comments section here what you think of this new project.

  • I’m looking forward to seeing what you compile for us to read. Thank you so much for your time and effort. 🙂

  • Your new news website is too black, text wise. The underlined pharagraphs are too long, can you just underline a few key words in each pharagraph? The long ones, more than a few words, anyway. Nothing wrong with long pharagraphs, just not long underlined ones. Either that, or keep it short. But, I like the longer descriptions. Drudge has a tendancey to be too brief. I think. I like to know more than I can learn from just hovering over the link and readinging the URL without having to reaad the whole article.

Maybe do the opposite you do now, have zero underlined, and the underlined appears when the cursor hovers over the link? But, what do I know, I ain’t rich.

The two things I dislike about Drudge, he refreshes too frequently, I’m glad you don’t do that. The other thing, I wish there were a way to highlight the new bits of info so I don’t have to go through everything I’ve read already, OR, i can do it faster, i.e color? Get those two, and you beat Drudge, imho.

I liked the bit of color you had tonite at the top, it’s too bad it was becuse of Koreas self-defense test. However; if you look at it from their perspective, it was prolly a nice thing. I mean, I know it’s not popular to say it, but yeesh, they are defending themselves as any sane person would. I wish our overlords would just back off and GTFO of that area, I couldn’t care less about that zone and it’s a waste of money which could be put to MUCH better use at home. Like say, for instance, not making the VA hospitals like a walk into a third world/Soviet environment. Have you ever been to a VA hospital? Man, it’s spooky, in a 1950’s/Stephen King, mixed with ‘The Blob’ sort of way. That’s not to say public hospitals are a whole lot better. Which reminds me, do you think you could post some bits at the bottom from alt-health, such as from Bill Sardi or Dr. Mercola? They, along with others, have some really earth-shattering stuff. Most people don’t want to hear it though, so I understand if you don’t. [Just pop a pill.]

Anyway, I still wish I could read the comments and post here on my out of date Vista PC without having to borrow this nice new’er fancny FAST PC. The frugulaista in me just can’t get myself to spend the Bucks to buy a new’er PC just so I can read comments and see the videos. – You do know I can’t view the videos you post, right? I imagine many people at work, eventhough they are on ultra fast pc’s, they are not allowed to view videos. IDK for certain, I’m in the minority, I only have a non-zombie, non-stupifying dumb fone and don’t ‘do’ lame-ass-for-Hosers, CIA-track me-Facebook. Going through government school was bad enough, I don’t need that, too.
i APPRECIATE IT when you descibe the videos you post. Thanks. And, good luck.

  • Here’s two examples, maybe you could put them in a section at the bottom where easily offended people with tender and delicate sensibilities and a strong attachment to the worship of, ‘priests in white robes with stethoscopes’ wouldn’t notice?

Cholesterol Isn’t the Problem in Heart Disease
Inflammation is, says Dr. Joseph Mercola.

You sure as heck won’t see THAT on Drudge, no matter how earth shattering it could be for some people and how helpful it could be for Preppers/Humans everywhere.
